Chemistry deals with the science of matter and the changes it undergoes. Chemistry is known as the Central Science. Because chemistry is lodged between Physics and Biology. It provides a foundation for understanding other science disciplines at a fundamental level. Fundamentals of chemistry are used to study and understand problems arising in other sciences such as – Botany, Physics, Zoology, biology and Geology.
Department of chemistry was established in the year 2013. The first year was commenced with the student strength of about 17. At present a team of three faculty members along with 78 students are in the chemistry department. It has an excellent team of faculty known for diligence, experience and commitment.
All the faculty members are involved with total dedication not only to teach subject but also to inculcate moral values among the students. Every academic session the department takes the students on an educational visit to an industry.
The Department has a full-fledged library with sufficient number of books, well equipped and spacious chemistry laboratory for the students. The department make remarkable contributions for the growth and success of the department.
