VISION

To establish a platform for the dissemination and creation of knowledge through teaching and research in Physics at various levels.  To help create a scientific society this encourages logical thinking.

MISSION

To offer state of the art Academic Programmes in Physics and in interdisciplinary areas.

To create intellectual property through innovations, quality research publications and patents.

Programme Outcome

It will be capable of oral and written scientific communication and will prove that they can think critically and work independently. To show that they have learned laboratory skills, enabling them to take   measurements in a physics laboratory and analyze the measurements to draw valid conclusion. To demonstrate knowledge of selected topic from quantum mechanics, electro- magnetism, nuclear physics, thermal physics, mathematical concept and be able to apply this knowledge to analyze a broad range of physical phenomena.

Programme Specific Outcome

Read, understand and interpret the physical information through experiments.

Impart skills required to farther information from resources (library, internet) and use them.

Offers courses to the choice of the students (a) B.Sc  Physics students study two papers.

Make the students to verify some of the Experimental calculation by C++ programme.

Learning outcome

The course would enable the students to be technically qualified in various skills like Laboratory skills which include observation and calculation, Electrical and Electronic circuit designing and making skills, Problem solving skills and Programming skills. After completing the UG degree in Physics they can pursue their master degree not only in the same field but also in interdisciplinary fields like Astrophysics, Bio-Physics, Geo-Physics, Environmental physics, Chemical Physics, Medical Physics etc.

This course is the base to get offer in various organization like Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), NASA, ISRO, Forecasting and Assessment Council (TIFAC), ONGC, Coal India Limited ,Geological Survey of India, Coastal marine, Indian Oil Corporation, Fertilizer Plants, Mines, Refineries, Textile Mills, Pollution Control Boards, Medical field etc. Our students working in various fields like medical physics and information technology, teaching and in research are standing examples for our learning output.
